Lessons are 30 or 45 minutes each week for ongoing students, unless otherwise noted. Lessons occur at a consistent weekly time that is reserved exclusively for your child

Lesson times are reserved for each student and may only be changed with sufficient notice and availability. Consistent attendance is essential for steady progress.

Lessons will still end at the scheduled time. Students who arrive late will have the remaining time of the lesson, and missed minutes cannot be made up.

Parents and siblings are asked to wait in their vehicles during lessons to maintain a focused learning environment. Observing lessons can sometimes distract students and disrupt their progress. Parents are required to attend the first lesson and encouraged to attend specific parent observation weeks.

Each student is guaranteed three make-up lessons per year (August–May). Make-ups can be completed as: • Group Make-Up Class • Asynchronous lesson completed before the scheduled lesson time • Pre-recorded video from the teacher • Parent-teacher phone conference during the scheduled lesson time

Families are encouraged to plan ahead. Make-ups may be used if given 24-hour notice, but regular attendance is crucial.

Lessons are studio-based. Online lessons may be offered as asynchronous make-ups or in special circumstances at the teacher’s discretion.

Lessons are individual for optimal learning. Siblings may attend group make-up classes together if scheduled.

Yes! Group make-up classes are scheduled periodically and are the primary way to make up a missed lesson. They allow students to practice in a small, social class environment. I also offer performance group classes for students a couple weeks before a recital.
